TIP – Buy that second bottle before the case

One trick that I have learned, the hard way, is to get a second bottle of that wine you found that you just loved.  On at least two occasions in the recent past, I have run across a wine that when I opened it was just right for that particular moment.  In one case, I believe that the bottle I got was actually one of the best in the entire lot and the other time it was paired with a dinner that made sense.

There are a number of reasons why your taste may vary time to time include a cold, hay fever, and the food that you are eating.

If you find a bottle of wine you really like and you are thinking about buying it by the case, go get a second bottle.  The 10% discount for the bottle is a small price to pay for getting 11 other bottles that you don’t really like as much as you thought.  Try the second bottle and if that one hits home too, then go get the case.

Additional Tip:  A case is a great way to start stocking a cellar and is also a good way to get some inexpensive wine that you can have as a go to bottle.

Remember that life is too short for bad wine or bad friends.
